The butcher in Carsparch had a notice on the door of a fruit exhibition in Dannemarie, which is one of the neighboring towns. We had to experience. The exhibition was held in a sports hall and was an exhibition whitening of mainly apples. Impressive. It bulged with apples. Each apple variety was exhibited in their own cabbage leaf - 4-5 pieces of each variety, with a description of the name, use, harvesting. There were more than 100 different apple varieties collected in the area around Dannemarie. Booths whitening were set up along the sides - and a restaurant and bar also filled up nicely in the hall. There was the opportunity to buy apples, fresh squeezed juices, jams and marmalades, honey and cakes with apples of all kinds (homemade of course). But apples, whitening fruit, vegetables and flowers were also on display just for their beauty - of course on fruit boxes. Local artists display their works. The favorite subjects were the natural landscape and buildings.
