PACKAGE tandblekning LEAFLET: INFORMATION FOR THE USER Cardiostad 2.5 mg tablets Cardiostad 5 mg tablets Cardiostad 10 mg tablets Cardiostad 20 mg tablets Lisinopril (as dihydrate) Read this leaflet tandblekning carefully before you start taking this medicine. - Keep this leaflet. You may need to read it again. - Ask your doctor or pharmacist if there are more, you will know. - This medicine has been prescribed Cardiostad for you. You should not give it to others. It may harm them, even if they have the same symptoms you have. - Tell your doctor or pharmacist if any of the side effects gets serious, or notice any side effects not mentioned here. USE Cardiostad tablets tandblekning contain the active ingredient lisinopril. Lisinopril belongs to the class of drugs called ACE (angiotensin converting enzyme) inhibitors. It works by dilating the blood vessels so the heart can more easily pump blood to all parts of the body. This results in a blood pressure lowering effect. Cardiostad used if: - Your blood pressure is too high - you suffer from heart failure. This means that your heart is not pumping blood around the body as well as usual, leading to disease-related symptoms, tandblekning such as fatigue, shortness of breath or swelling of the ankles and feet - you have had a heart attack (in such cases Cardiostad as short-term treatment (6 weeks) within 24 hours). - Have kidney problems related to diabetes and hypertension. 2. BEFORE YOU TAKE Cardiostad Do not Cardiostad - if you are allergic (hypersensitive) tandblekning to lisinopril, to similar medicines (ACE inhibitors) or any of the other ingredients of Cardiostad. - If you have previously had an allergic reaction to lisinopril or similar medicines (ACE inhibitors) on - merchants symptoms such as itching, hives, wheezing or swelling of the hands, throat, mouth or eyelids. - If you or other family members have a history of allergic reactions that have difficulty swallowing or breathing difficulties, swelling of the hands, feet or ankles, face, lips, tongue or throat (angioedema) or if you have had angioedema under other circumstances. - If you are more than 3 months pregnant. (It is best to avoid Cardiostad early pregnancy, see Pregnancy). Take special care with Cardiostad Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have or have had any medical condition or disorder, especially tandblekning following said: Pregnancy You should tell your doctor if you are (or might become) tandblekning pregnant. Cardiostad not recommended in early pregnancy and must not be taken if you are more than 3 months pregnant. It may harm the baby if Cardiostad taken at this time (see Pregnancy). For low blood pressure (symptomatic hypotension) Cardiostad tandblekning may rarely cause low blood pressure (symptomatic hypotension), tandblekning especially in early treatment. tandblekning It happens more often in patients who: - are dehydrated or suffering from salt deficiency, for example. by treatment tandblekning with diuretics, salt restrictive diet, dialysis, diarrhea or vomiting (see also section. 2 "What you need to know before you start taking Cardiostad" and section. 4 "Side Effects") - are suffering from sharply hypertension due. kidney disease (renin-dependent hypertension) (see also section. 2 "What you need to know before you start taking Cardiostad" and section. 4 "Side Effects") - have severe tandblekning heart failure (due to the use of high doses of diuretics, with or without deterioration of renal function ) - have heart disease caused by insufficient blood supply of the heart muscle (coronary heart disease) or circulatory disorder. Cardiostad can cause cardiac arrest (myocardial infarction) or stroke (stroke). Therefore, these patients close medical supervision. If you have an increased risk of fall in blood pressure, your doctor will monitor you closely especially at start of treatment or dose modification. If your blood pressure falls too much if your blood pressure drops too much you should lie down. If it persists, it may require medical attention. A temporary decrease in blood pressure may not require treatment - Meeting with Cardiostad stopped. When your blood pressure will return to normal can take Cardiostad, as usual. However, it happens in some cases dose reduction or treatment discontinuation is necessary.
